‘Big Ideas’ is a bold, brash, and absolutely terrific album.
Review by Rob Hinkal

Remi Wolf deftly avoids the sophomore slump on this energetic, and totally bonkers LP following her debut release, Juno. From its varied, exuberant genre twists and turns to Remi’s impassioned vocal performance, this is just an absolute blast from start to finish. Preceded by already fantastic preview singles, including one of my favorite songs of the year so far, Cinderella, the rest of the album is just as bop-worthy as its preview tracks with the exception of maybe one or two songs that just don’t quite hit the heights of the rest of the album. The standout among the tracklist, at least for me, is the soapy, atmospheric 80’s jam, Soup.
This album doesn’t just have the song of the summer on it, it has eight of them. This is such a damn fun listening experience that it’s hard to not want to overlook some of the weaker tracks and just vibe out with the incredibly strong and always exciting set of songs that Remi has put together here. Definitely give this one a listen and catch Remi Wolf live if you can, she’s got the goods and it’s on full display on Big Ideas.
