Bleachers – Cincinnati, Ohio Andrew J Brady ICON Center

It’s been a long time since Bleachers came to town. They last played Cincinnati at the Bunbury Festival (RIP) in 2015.

Opening for Bleachers was This Is Lorelei. Also, one half of the band Water From Your Eyes. He’s a songwriter’s songwriter – his songs have been covered by M.J Lenderman, Waxahatchee, and Snail Mail.  He most recent album, ‘The Singer in My Band’ was released earlier this month. Live, the tracks from ‘The Singer in My Band’ such as ‘Billy Come Back,’ ‘Oh No Now My’ from the latest album turned into even more into country-tinged rock than on the record. His band was fantastic, the people talking around me – not great.

Then, the headliner of the night – Bleachers. Their latest album, ‘Everyone for Ten Minutes’ was released in May 2026. Their latest single ‘Caught Myself Believing’ was released in September 2026 and used for the soundtrack in the film ‘Practical Magic 2.’ They said at the start of the show had been awhile since they came to town.

They promised to blow the roof off of the Andrew J Brady ICON Center. It was a perfect space for them, lead singer Jack Anotonoff commented how fantastic the room was. With one of the best (and a bit wild) crowds I’ve seen at the Andrew J Brady ICON Center. Everyone was locked in. Highlights of the show include ‘Modern Girl’ ‘You Should Talk.’ And ‘Don’t Go Dark.’ The best Bleachers song contain joy and a bit of sorrow but it was all joy on this Wednesday night. We all left with joy in our hearts. Hope it’s not another nine years until Bleachers return.
